1. King Jehoshaphat prospered as he devoted his reign to honoring the Lord—“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
2. The flagrant depravity of King Ahaziah produced a sinful nation and a weakened kingdom—“Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!” Deuteronomy 5:29
