1 Timothy 5:1-16

Message Take Aways:

1. Paul reminded Timothy that the church is to properly care for true widows who are genuinely in need—“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27

2. Paul identified the character that a true widow must demonstrate in order to be recognized as fit to receive support from the church—“…walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory” 1 Thessalonians 2:12

3. Paul identified the godly conduct that young widows are expected to continue in as believers in Jesus Christ—“For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the LORD our God Forever and ever.” Micah 4:5
