1 Timothy 3

Message Take Aways:

1. The office of bishop, elder, or overseer is a sacred stewardship that entrusts one to shepherd the flock of God with honor and diligence—“Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” Acts 20:28

2. A deacon is to be a servant who selflessly ministers to the body of Christ with integrity and faithfulness—“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10

3. The church is to be united in solidarity by acknowledging and aligning with the revealed truth of God’s word—“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7
