Message Take Aways:

1. Paul recognized his responsibility to be a faithful steward of the Gospel by teaching sound doctrine motivated by love—“Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” 1 Corinthians 4:1

2. Paul celebrated the grace of God that had redeemed his life and thereby made him a testimony of God’s mercy—“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10

3. Paul charged Timothy to commit to the good fight of defending sound doctrine through his teaching and his lifestyle—“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.” 1 Peter 3:15-16
