1. The church must remain vigilant against false teachers recognizing the damage caused by their destructive doctrines—“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

2. Unrepentant false teachers face impending doom as they will be judged by the Lord God—“For the wicked are reserved for the day of doom; They shall be brought out on the day of wrath.” Job 21:30

3. The depravity of false teachers is manifested by their empty teachings, corrupt conduct, arrogant pride, and selfish ambitions—“These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.” Jude 1:16

4. The unbiblical doctrines of false teachers are deceptive, ultimately leading people away from the truth and back into the bondage of sin—“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers,” 2 Timothy 4:3
